The Directors

My post of the 17th August listed all the directors from Series 1 to Series 7 and where these were described on this blog.

I have only recorded Episode 10 from Series 8 (Ang Lee) and yesterday Episode 1 (James Cameron). I am hoping that these repeats will be followed by the remainder in the series.

Movies at Home

In my post of 24th October 2023 I listed those films I had seen at home from 30th October 2020 to 21st May 2021. There are now more posted on 21st November and 22nd December 2023.

Have You Seen ....... ? by David Thomson

My previous post included those films I had seen from this series up to 12th September 2023. There are now two more posts on 25th October 2023 and 18th January 2024.

So, apart from finding the other eight episodes of The Directors Series 8, there are no other series on Sky Arts for the present. I have started watching the first of the 96 episodes of  Inside Cinema - Shorts on iPlayer. And I'm struggling through David Thomson's book The Whole Equation: A History of Hollywood. 

There have not been any more episodes of The Story of British Cinema since The Pioneer Years that I posted on 27th September 2023. I have also deleted every episode of a series called The Movies on Sky Arts. It's American and concentrates on all the big familiar blockbusters. Maybe one day.
