The photo above is actually my screensaver. Taken in June last year, the border was full of colour. But today it looks completely different. The drought has taken its toll. Only the white rose is in flower. I followed that advice about never watering roses, and they have flowered on repeat all summer despite the lack of rain.
But just behind the white dwarf wall, the campanula have decided to flower again. I might give them a drop of water.
