Songs from Film Club

I have an admission to make. I have been watching a new series called "Film Club" on BBC 3. Yes, I know, that's a channel for young people. But the title got to me. There is definitely not enough about films, but it does have Suranne Jones as the mother who is great.  Then, out of the blue, at the very end of episode four came some fabulous music. It's from a Mozart opera: Le nozze di Figaro, Act 3 Che soave zeffiretto that is a duetinno or duet for two ladies. I have never seen this opera but it's being staged in London next year. Booking opens in January.

Then episode five included a song from Wilson Phillips called Hold On. I wonder how many people watching had the CD as does yours truly. The final episode six included a drunk Suranne Jones singing a karaoke version of David Bowie's Modern Love.  But sung by Zaho de Sagazan. Whoever she is.
